Nico
Böer and Andrea Siebert are the authors
of »The Algarve Fish Book« and also of its
German edition, awarded in 2004 as the best German fish
and seafood cookbook in the competition held by Gourmand
World Cookbook Awards.
Living
in the Algarve since 1977, Nico is well-known
among his friends and guests for his truly Algarvian-style
cuisine. He is not only a fish enthusiast, but also a
passionate sailor and windsurfer if not busy marketing
and selling Portuguese sea salt.
Being
a biologist, a journalist and a public relations
professional, Andrea relocated to Southern Portugal in
2001. She took care of the fish facts and scientific names
in the book. Aside from being in charge of the editorial
concerns, she runs together with Nico MARISOL®
sea salt as a family-owned company.
